Alafia River State Park relies heavily on the support of Friends of Alafia membership contributions and volunteer support from individuals like you. From trail construction to grounds keeping or connecting with kids for Geo Caching tours, Friends of Alafia offers members unique opportunities to get involved, meet other volunteers, and provide positive impact for your park and surrounding communities.
Friends of Alafia members who elect to provide volunteer services also receive invitations to special volunteer-only events and appreciation days. Alafia River State Park also gladly accepts volunteer help from other community organizations, corporate groups, and youth programs that earn participants official volunteer hours.
Join FoA's Alafia Trail Crew to help build or maintain the park's revered MTN bike trails.
Volunteer help and expertise with ARSP's hiking trail construction and maintenance.
We need safety-oriented help with mowing and trimming throughout the park grounds.
Lend your skills for fencing, barn & paddock upkeep, or basic infrastructure maintenance.
We welcome Bright Future Scholarship candidates & others to earn volunteer hours.
We have opportunities to help introduce families to the fun of Geo Caching.
Friends of Alafia recommends and prefers individual volunteers to enroll in the Official Volunteer Program through the state's Department of Environmental Protection. Official volunteers are covered with liability protection and worker's compensation insurance. Enrolling is easy and best ensures the safety, well-being, and peace of mind for our organization, members, and Alafia River State Park.
