Coastal Cleanup 2019

at Alafia River State Park

on Saturday, September 21, 2019

9:00 a.m. - noon

Do you want to help with a reforestation project?  We need volunteers to help prep the area where we will plant hundreds of Longleaf and Southern Slash Pine seedlings in December 15th. (This is the same project we did last year, just in a different area)

Prep work will be done on September 21st.  We will be removing invasive plants.

This is an excellent way to help beautify your park.  It is also a great way for students to fulfill community service hours.

We will meet in the parking lot just inside the Ranger Station at the main gate starting at 8:30.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen, snack, garden gloves, insect repellent, and a refillable water bottle.  Bottled water will be provided.

For more information, contact the Ranger Station at the park:
