Coastal Cleanup 2018

at Alafia River State Park

9:00 a.m. - noon 

Do you want to help with a reforestation project?  We need volunteers to help prep the area where we will plant hundreds of Longleaf and Southern Slash Pine seedlings on December 15th (save this date too).  

Prep work will be done on September 15th.  We will be removing invasive plants and clearing other vegetation.

This is an excellent way to help beautify your park.  It is also a great way for students to fulfill community service hours.

We will meet at the parking lot just inside the Ranger Station at the main gate.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen, snack, ID, garden gloves , insect repellent, a refillable water bottle.  Water will be provided.
