Alafia River State Park features some of the best mountain bike riding trails in the state of Florida, featuring better than 20 miles of trails rated at beginner, intermediate, and advanced to satisfy all skill levels.  Prior to becoming a state park, this land was used for phosphate mining without the land being “reclaimed” when the mining was completed.  The end result is that many of the trails feature significant elevation changes over short distances, something that you don’t find too much of in the state of Florida.

The Friends of Alafia's Alafia Trail Crew (ATC) builds and maintains the bike trails.  For detailed information on our bike trails, with videos of each trail in the park, see
